How it works

PLEASE NOTE DURING COVID WE ARE NOT PROVIDING INSURANCE FOR ANY RENTALS ON THE PLATFORM. INSURANCE WILL NEED TO BE SUPPLIED BY EITHER THE OWNER OR THE HIRER. 

What does this mean?

1) Hires are only possible where the insurance is provided by the owner or the renter. 

2) In either situation DRIEV / 3FEV cannot provide coverage or protection for your car but we can perform all usual checks to validate the hirer if you (owner) ask us to.

HIRER

Please check - how it works page and send us your ID, address proof and update your profile with your picture so we can validate you before you start a rental.

If you have to pay for the insurance yourself, the owner can reduce the rental to account for your insurance cost. 

OWNER

Please check with us to confirm if a driver has been validated before you approve a payment from them. We are working with our app provider to make it easier to identify if a user is verified or not. The commission on the site has been reduced to account for the absence of insurance provision.

How it works

 This platform means that we can find hirers who are interested in renting an EV around your location. This is a simple platform to bring the service and ease to you quicker. We are working hard behind the scenes to improve this platform so feel free to share your suggestions and ideas on what improvements to the process or platform that you will like to see. 

This is how the process works :

For car owners

1. List your car
• Let us know the make, model and registration details.
• Upload photos of your car. The more photos the better
 Include a photo of yourself in the User page so renters can identify you. 
Our admin will contact you after you have registered to verify you are the owner of the car. 
2. Set your price  and availability
• You choose the days and time you want to make your car available.
• You are free to set your own rental rate. We are happy to recommend rates if you ask us.
• We take 20% commission to cover admin and  transaction charges. If we provide insurance then it will be 33%
 3. Update your payment information. Register your bank details so you can get paid when we take a booking for you. 
4. Confirm a booking
When you get a booking request you’ll need to confirm with us that we have verified their licence and address recently before you accept the payment. This is to ensure underage (insurance is minimum 30 for the Tesla) people do not go ahead to make payment.

 We can continue to carry out checks on the driver on your behalf but you will need to ask us to confirm the hirer has been checked before you agree the transaction. 
5. Electric car handover
 You are free to arrange a time and exact location to handover the car. 
Handover the car. Take lots of photos!
6. After the rental
Get your money - you’ll receive your money within 7 working days –  directly into your chosen account .
Review the driver 


For car renters

1. Search and choose
Look for a car, location, date and time when you want to hire a car.
2. Sign up into our system, using your email or social networks.
3. Request a booking
You’ll need a Clean valid licence, be over 30 year, 
We’ll verify you as a user when you send a)  a picture of your licence plus b) two address proofs c) your DVLA code to our contact email address. 
4.  car handover
Subject to satisfactory driver and address checks, you can make payment and share your contact details with the car owner, and vice versa.
Arrange a time and exact location to handover the car.
Take photos of the car for your records and note any existing damage.
5. Return the car
Arrange an exact location.
Take photos for your records.
Review your experience.
